Ariadna Vendelová: All My Skirts
All My Skirts is an original solo aerial dance/new circus production by Ariadna Vendelová (SK) and Fred Deb´ (FR).
The experimental aerial dance performance All My Skirts is unique in that it uses a single piece of a 70 meter long aerial fabric to create an architecture of life, where female body searches for balance, negotiating time and space, allowing for emergence of multiplicity of images and interpretations.
After the creation process at three international residencies, the show premiered in December 2019 in Tabačka Kulturfabrik (Košice, Slovakia), followed by two presentations, but could not tour during 2020 due to the onset of the pandemic.
"All My Skirts is a negotiation of balance in time and space, in and beyond the scope of life of a human body and soul. The female body which remembers and forgets, body which experiences, dreams and awakes after hundreds of days heavy in the burden of personal identities. The years which run by fast, and days that last forever. Paradoxes of our language, the lives of mothers, unheard voices of women, unseen bodies. Compromises we make to stay alive. The ultimate self-realization, ancestral memories, rituals of the present. What has been left of me? ”
