Virtuoso acrobatics, a compelling story, impressive set designs and costumes. Cirque Le Roux will once again enchant you with its new show!

Come follow us into a crack in time and let yourself be transported to three historical periods. Using playful aesthetics and extraordinarily engaging acrobatics, you will enter the lives of three different women. This year, French artists of Cirque Le Roux will present an almost theatrical performance at Letní Letná.

Between dream and reality, between dog and wolf. The show combines acrobatic elements, dance, music and theatre to create a visually arresting form. Between theatre and film, between dance and acrobatics, between mystery and magic, Between Dog and Wolf – translated as Entre Chiens et Louves...

We follow the journeys of three characters from different time periods, delving into the past on a wondrous excursion that reaches into the present. In a compelling spectacle of movement, nine performers defy the laws of gravity while telling us about the everyday lives of three women. Although they live in 1850, 1960 and 2023, they have a lot in common! The scenes unfold like a film, taking us on a tender, tragicomic and majestic journey through time. It is an introspection, a universal testimony to our human condition. To us, human beings, in all our richness, splendour and absurdity. A tender, historical and majestic journey, with the acrobatics of circus performers, highlighting the collective memory of women.

The successful Cirque Le Roux return once again to Letní Letná, after the film noir-inspired Deer in Headlights and the grotesque Elephant in the Room, they arrive with the mysterious story of three women across time, again with the compellingly strange title Entre Chiens et Louves.

What does this title mean? In France, the term “Entre Chiens et Louves” is used to refer to a time of day when it gets dark and the dusk paints silhouettes that are different from day or full night. At that time, you can't tell a dog from a wolf and a friend from an enemy....

"Life must be lived with an eye to the future, but it can only be understood by looking to the past." Søren Kierkegaard
